A Full-Circle Maternity Session with Cate | Muncie, Indiana

There are sessions that are beautiful, and then there are sessions that are deeply meaningful. Cate’s maternity shoot was both.

Cate is about to welcome her first daughter into the world, and the joy and anticipation on her face made every moment behind the camera feel extra special. We started with a relaxed look—just jeans and a tank—which felt so natural and true to her personality. Then we transitioned into a few of my newest studio gowns that brought out her pregnancy glow in the most stunning way.

What made this session even more emotional for me is the bond we already share. Cate was a lifeline to our family during COVID, serving as a nanny to my two daughters and becoming a part of our everyday lives when everything else felt uncertain. She was calm, kind, and endlessly patient—the exact qualities that will make her such a beautiful mother.

To see her now, stepping into this new role, was like watching the next chapter of a story I’ve loved being a part of. I already know that baby girl is in the best hands.
