Inside the Betty & Bobby Photography Studio: A Space Designed for Calm, Care, and Quality

When families book a session, they’re often thinking about the final images. But what many don’t realize is how much the space itself shapes the experience, especially for newborn photography.

At Betty and Bobby Photography, the studio is more than a backdrop. It’s an intentional environment designed around safety, comfort, and care for both babies and parents.

A Studio With a Story

The studio is located in an older building just a few minutes from Ball State University in Muncie. It is a building that is slowly being renovated. My space is thoughtfully curated over time. Rather than rushing the process, every change has been intentional, allowing the studio to grow alongside the families it serves.

When you walk through the front door, you’re welcomed by shelves of maternity gowns and newborn props — some of my most loved and most invested-in pieces. These aren’t trendy add-ons. They’re carefully chosen items in a wide range of colors, textures, and styles, designed to photograph beautifully while keeping babies comfortable and safe.

Each Room, Designed With Purpose

The studio is laid out to support a calm, guided flow throughout your session.

The first space showcases my curated wardrobe and prop collection, allowing us to easily select pieces that fit your vision without overwhelm.

The next room features seamless backdrops and is where I set up for mini sessions and classic portraits. This space allows for clean, timeless imagery with professional lighting and consistency.

From there, you’ll find the light wall and lifestyle area — a soft, inviting space where parents can relax while I photograph their baby. This area is also where maternity and boudoir sessions take place, offering flexibility for everything from casual to high-end studio looks.

The final room is the smallest — intentionally. This is where newborns are photographed. It’s quiet, warm, and designed specifically for the tiniest clients, helping sessions remain calm and unhurried.

Why This Matters for Newborn Sessions

Newborn photography should never feel chaotic. Babies respond to their environment, and a space that feels calm helps them settle more easily. Parents feel it too.

By photographing newborns in a dedicated, thoughtfully designed studio, I’m able to:

  • maintain a quiet, controlled environment

  • move slowly and safely through poses

  • give parents space to rest and observe

  • keep sessions focused on baby comfort and care

This approach reflects my core values — safety, quality, and inclusion — and guides every decision made inside the studio.

An Experience Built Around Care

This studio wasn’t designed to impress. It was designed to support families during one of the most tender seasons of their lives.

From the curated props to the quiet newborn room, every detail exists so you don’t have to worry about anything when you arrive. You’re welcomed into a space that’s prepared, intentional, and built around care — not chaos.

For families seeking newborn and maternity photography in Muncie and Central Indiana, the studio experience is part of the promise: calm guidance, thoughtful preparation, and images created with expertise and heart.
